Scalable wif meshing over 802.11r
Scalable gigabit wif networks have become afordable. We use OpenWRT to refash all of our access points. OpenWRT now supports 802.11 ac/g/n, 802.11k (required for dual band use in the 5GHz band),
and 802.11r for meshing access points over wif.

Redundancy is key to ensuring availability of all data at all time..

Enabling 802.11r wif on the OpenWRT Access Points facilitate scaling a network to thousand of participants, enhances coverage, and helps survive partial shut downs.
Leveraging ipv6 for network confguration should help get rid of dhcp and other centralized services.
